Dr. Megan White is an alumna of both the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. White (born Megan Collins) holds a Bachelors of Science & Art degree in Biology, a minor in Theatre & Dance, a Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society membership, and an optometric Merit Award. She has a rich history of student leadership, scholarship, and has been immersed in various facets of Optometry for almost a decade.
Dr. White is skilled in the management of ocular disease, primary care, and pediatric care. After externships at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, as well as Vision Center in Ruston, Louisiana, she has extensive knowledge regarding diabetic eye care, glaucoma management, dry eye disease, cataract evaluation and co-management, and specialty contact lenses. She is passionate about the health of her community and continues to advocate for improvements in legislation, technology, and healthcare that would benefit patients of all ages.
She enjoys tacos, dancing, theatre, and hiking with her fellow-longhorn-cougar-husband, Cameron, and blue-heeler puppy, Korra.
